Decoding Impact, a podcast series hosted by Sattva Co-founder and Managing Partner Rathish Balakrishnan, is a platform to engage with leaders, innovators and experts in the social sector who are working to address society’s most urgent problems, from poverty and nutrition to climate and gender. In this series we invite sector experts to shed light on the full import and nuances of social problems, and explore the potential systemic solutions to enable impact at scale. Decoding Impact is an established podcast series on societal issues, having completed 3 seasons and 40 episodes so far.
We are looking for a passionate and expert producer to join our marketing team and lead the production of Decoding Impact Season 4. The Podcast Communications Consultant will serve a critical role in the development, management, execution and marketing of Decoding Impact. Reporting to the Head - Marketing, Sattva Consulting, this role will collaborate with a wide variety of business leaders within Sattva and social sector experts outside, to develop strong and engaging content aligned with Sattva and SKI’s brand mission. The person will be responsible for managing all production and marketing activities to develop and build the Decoding Impact brand.
Responsibilities
Strategic:
Work with our subject matter experts to develop the overall podcast theme and plan for Decoding Impact.
Be the market expert and offer external insights to enhance the content, theme and topics.
Manage the overall production schedule.
Develop and own innovative Marketing strategies to enhance awareness, reach and engagement of the podcast.
Monitoring of episode analytics to improve content, production and marketing strategies.
Production and Editorial:
Develop the overall schedule and the content and production plan for each episode.
Managing guest outreach and confirmations. Ensuring all episode content is shared with the guest as per schedule.
Review content for messaging, style guidelines, brand consistency, and voice; provide education and guidance to ensure high quality writing for all content
Organizing and scheduling recording sessions. Coordination with the production team/agency.
Oversee podcast recording.
Managing podcast release schedule
Post Production
Coordination with the production team/ agency for editing - episode + reels/shorts for media channels.
Discovery and Promotion
Uploading episodes and publishing show notes
Promoting new episodes through social media and marketing campaigns. Identifying the most relevant and optimum launch strategies and channels.
Optimise reach and engagement by identifying best practices, trends and testing tools, content formats, and distribution channels.
Analytics
Regular tracking and monitoring of episode and podcast performance to ensure growth and engagement targets are met.
Background Desired:
Bachelor’s degree required
6-8 years of experience in marketing, communications,
A solid understanding of podcast production, trends, tactics, and user behaviour
Good content writing skills.
Collaborative team player who can work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth environment
Motivated self-starter, process-oriented with high attention to detail
Ability to work with Senior leadership to build consensus on the communication strategy and plan.
Skills
Sound knowledge of podcast production - audio, recording, editing tools and software
Expertise in podcast marketing - key channels, marketing strategies and trends
Strong problem solving mindset, with the ability to think on your feet.
Excellent collaboration, communication and writing skills in English
Strong organizational skills
