The Tech Lead acts as the strategic and operational anchor for all technology-led initiatives within the CSR Business Unit. This role sits at the intersection of product management, platform adoption and vendor coordination, ensuring that digital tools meaningfully support CSR programme design, monitoring, and decision-making.
Product Management:
-- Define short- and long-term product roadmaps aligned to BU strategy, user pain points, and CSR/M&E requirements.
-- Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements for technology partners.
-- Lead requirement gathering across diverse stakeholders—consultants, clients, and NGO partners.
-- Convert requirements into user stories, workflows, and specifications.
-- Manage relationships with external technology vendors involved in platform development, support, and QA
-- Monitor development cycles, track delivery milestones, and manage escalations related to delays, defects, or scope gaps.
-- Establish governance for roadmap approvals, documentation, and change control.
Change Management (Platform Adoption & User Experience):
-- Design and execute BU-level platform adoption strategies.
-- Create structured onboarding journeys for consultants, clients, and NGO partners.
-- Develop user guides, process documentation, training content, and communication material.
-- Identify recurring user pain points and feed them back into the product roadmap.
-- Maintain FAQs, training repositories, and onboarding assets over time.
Security Assessments & Technology Governance:
-- Coordinate security assessments, audits, and related documentation for clients.
-- Identify and escalate risks related to data integrity, access control, uptime, and user experience.
-- Ensure adherence to internal SOPs on data usage, access management, and system governance.
-- Support the creation and maintenance of BU-level technology governance frameworks.
-- Work with vendors to ensure compliance with contractual and security expectations.
Tech Advisory (Occasionally):
-- Translate technical concepts into simple, decision-oriented language for consultants and clients.
-- Support project teams on M&E planning, platform configuration, and data interpretation.
-- Participate selectively in client discussions to build confidence in technology-enabled solutions.
-- Support sales and solutioning teams with demos, proposals, and feasibility inputs.
-- Identify and evaluate new tools (including AI-driven enhancements) that could improve efficiency or client value.
-- Pilot new tools or features and assess feasibility before scale-up.
-- Maintain awareness of tech trends in CSR, ESG, and M&E.
The Ideal Candidate:
-- You have 5–7 years of work experience, with exposure to product management, technology services/consulting, and/or the social impact sector.
-- You understand that adoption is a change problem, not a training problem. You’ve designed adoption approaches, supported behaviour change, and seen what it takes for tools to actually get used in real-world settings.
-- You’re able to identify user pain points and business needs early, translate them into clear use cases, and articulate the value of solutions.
-- You have experience working with technology vendors or partners, and you’re comfortable driving clarity on scope, timelines, quality, and trade-offs—even when the conversations are difficult.
-- You’re comfortable operating with ambiguity and multiple parallel priorities, and can make informed calls on what to focus on, what to defer, and what risks need active management.
-- You work well in collaborative, cross-functional environments, communicate clearly, and are open to occasional travel as part of project and client engagement.
