The Opportunity
As an Intern, you will support the team on ongoing research and execution of the overall WDE initiative. You will be a part of cross-functional teams, work closely with governments, companies, civil society organisations, on-ground partners, philanthropic partners and farmers to guide the WDE’s scaling journey from pilot to population-level adoption. This is a unique opportunity to shape a digital public good at the intersection of water sustainability, data, and technology.
Key Responsibilities
1. Research:
Possess understanding of different types of research, research methodologies, and research frameworks
Support primary and secondary research (proficiency in literature review, market research, solution landscape mapping , policy research, etc.)
Prepare interview questions for primary research, manage focus groups, carry out interviews and conduct surveys
Cull out insights from research findings
2. Data Analysis:
Understand the objectives of analytics, the project context, and identify relevant data for achieving objectives
Conduct relevant quantitative/qualitative analysis on the data to cull out meaningful insights relevant to client problem
Present data insights in a concise and meaningful manner using relevant visualisations
GIS and remote sensing skills
3. Presentation:
Present readings/research findings into insights using a visually compelling manner
Develop templates and document key project artefacts, notes, decks, and databases to ensure the efficient delivery of client-facing deliverables.
Undergraduate or postgraduate student/graduate in environmental sciences, development studies or equivalent
Evidence of working on high-quality research projects
GIS and remote sensing skills, basic map making
Be at the forefront of shaping a national public good with potential for global replication.

Build relationships with the most credible and committed actors across the public, private, and social sectors.
