About Sustainability and Business Advisory
Within this vertical, we work with investors such as DFIs, impact funds and PE/VCs, enterprises and corporates across different facets of sustainability and ESG - broadly covering environment & climate, gender, decent work, and circularity. We work across research, strategy and implementation in a variety of sectors including financial services, healthcare, agri-tech, real estate etc.
The Opportunity
The Senior consultant will be an integral part of our Sustainability & Business Advisory team building positive relationships with clients and working closely with multiple teams in delivering solutions to enable high impact on the ground. They are required to lead problem solving and delivery on their projects along with driving the overall project and client management including risk and mitigation planning.
Roles and responsibilities -

Lead and drive successful delivery and execution of the project(s). Success is determined by the dimensions of impact, customer success in achieving their impact goals and stakeholder experience. Projects are expected to be well planned, on-time, on-budget, with best quality delivery.
Business ownership of key relationships at different levels of leadership at the customer side, with a pulse on changes in their focus areas and priorities. This includes building a strategic understanding of the client and their sector context.
Business ownership in designing effective delivery models to achieve the outcomes of projects both efficiently and with the highest efficacy.
Strong advisory abilities to support customers in making informed and efficient decisions.
Manage finite project resources (time, people and assets) effectively and empathetically with a keen eye on project financials.
Build specializations in specific thematic focus areas that strengthen Sattva’s capabilities to deliver value to our clients.
Engage with multiple funders and varied stakeholders like third-party agencies, legal and finance departments, event management agencies and other vendors to achieve program outcomes
Contribute towards the development of junior team members and a strong culture working environment in the teams
Contribute towards overall business development and market engagement efforts by writing quality sales proposals and thought leadership pieces.
The Ideal Candidate:

We are a new vertical looking at ESG and sustainability priorities across corporates, funds, DFIs and social businesses. This role will provide a high growth opportunity, exposure across all levels of leadership and will be instrumental in driving the next stage of growth. We are looking for passionate individuals who align with our vision and have the following profile:
Master degree with a focus in Sustainability/ Environment/ Economics/ Social Impact, relevant certifications in ESG/ Environment / Sustainability /Climate studies or Climate Action
At least 6-8 years of experience working in the sustainability space in either corporate, social enterprises, consulting firms or investment and audit firms, development agencies
With specific experience across areas such as GHG accounting, climate strategies including decarbonization and net-zero strategy and commitments, climate risk assessments, carbon offset / trading, energy efficiency and transition, environmental impact assessments, waste and water audits, LCA, reporting, ratings systems etc.
Efficiently balances project deadlines with rigorous quality standards, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work products.
Proficient in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information to inform decision-making and problem-solving processes.
Demonstrates strong understanding of financial and business principles and diverse models.
Skilled in client management, fostering relationships with professionalism, and developing innovative strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Promotes teamwork and open communication while effectively conveying ideas through clear, concise, and persuasive speech.
