The Opportunity
Climate Action; Education; Healthcare; Livelihoods; Gender; Urban Governance; Food security; Inclusion. The world is facing and finding solutions for multiple societal problems. How do we leverage one of the fastest growing media channels to spotlight society’s most pressing problems?
Decoding Impact, a podcast series hosted by Sattva Co-founder and Managing Partner Rathish Balakrishnan, is a platform to engage with leaders, innovators and experts in the social sector who are working to address society’s most urgent problems, from poverty and nutrition to climate and gender. In this series we invite sector experts to shed light on the full import and nuances of social problems, and explore the potential systemic solutions to enable impact at scale. Decoding Impact is an established podcast series on societal issues, having completed 3 seasons and 44 episodes so far.
We are looking for a research associate to join our team for the production of Decoding Impact Season 4. Each podcast episode requires us to conduct a deep dive analysis on the topic and the guest profile and this role will is critical to ensure the continued quality and depth of conversations that Decoding Impact is known for. Reporting to the Head - Marketing, Sattva Consulting, this role will collaborate with the larger podcast team to develop in depth research on each episode’s topic and guest.
Scope of work:
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Work with the podcast strategy team to develop in depth research on the topic and guest profile for each episode.
The research is intended to guide the conversations and hence will be a mix of data analysis to establish the societal issue being discussed, an analysis of the different dimensions of the problem and current trends/work in solving it.
It will also involve research of guest profiles to develop the most relevant match between the topic and the guest expertise.
Skills Required:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field.
Excellent research capability
Interest in building knowledge on a diverse range of societal issues/ thematic areas - Climate, Gender, Agriculture, Education etc
Proven content writing skills
Excellent written communication skills
Immaculate understanding and application of grammar
Ability to conduct research, understand the business context and translate that into effective content.
Agility, strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a self starter.
Agile and strong team player.
